Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate coding, and maintaining medical records. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our medical practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients.
• Utilize medical coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10, to ensure proper billing.
• Review patient records for completeness and accuracy before billing.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process.
• Maintain organized medical records and ensure compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing or coding.
• Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of medical records management.
• Experience with medical billing software and systems.
• Knowledge of medical coding practices, including ICD-9 and ICD-10.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare staff.
• Previous experience in a medical office environment is preferred but not mandatory.
