RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHILDCARE PROGRAM LEAD:
- Coordinates childcare programs to meet the needs of the community and meet Y objectives.
- Develops and maintains programs in accordance with organizational and operational plans.
- Ensure records of staff certifications are current and complete; provide training as needed.
- Organizes and facilitates age-appropriate activities
- Supervises and interacts with children at play safely.
- Complies with all Childcare Cabinet responsibilities, including attending meetings as needed.

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A CHILDCARE PROGRAM LEAD:
- 21 years of age or older
- Current state approved first aid certification
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum two years experience working with children
- Knowledge and experience in childwatch or babysitting including a demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate activities to children, ages 5 years to 11 years.
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, peers, volunteers and supervisor.
- Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA Programs.
