RESPONSIBILITIES OF A LIFEGUARD:
- Maintains active surveillance of the pool area; including all levels of the water and surrounding areas
- Ensure safety of all members and participants in and around the pool
- Learn valuable lifesaving skills in a leadership role

REQUIREMENTS TO BE A LIFEGUARD:
- Minimum age of 16
- Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent.
- Good health and physical stamina
- A friendly, enthusiastic attitude
- Ability to maintain calm manner in stressful and/or emergency situations
