Our Valley Oral and Facial Surgery practice is looking for an experienced Surgical or Dental Assistant to join our team!
Position is full-time (hourly, non-exempt): Monday- Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-12pm
Location: 1165 S. Columbia Rd, Suite C, Grand Forks, ND 58201

What you will do:
- Preparing patient for surgery
- Ensuring all general anesthesia prep has been completely successfully
- Taking panoramic X-rays & 3D scans
- Checking all documents for accuracy
- Ensure solid communication between patient and doctor
- Monitoring vitals during surgery
- Passing and assisting for procedures
- Accurately completely operative report
- Explaining post-operative care
- Sterilization of surgical equipment
- Strict adherence to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and OSHA regulations/procedures
- Other duties as assigned
What you will do:
- Prepare patient for surgery
- Ensure all general anesthesia prep has been completely successfully
- Take panoramic/periapical X-rays & 3D scans
- Take impressions/intra oral scans
- Maintain a clean workspace by following established protocols
- Check all documents for accuracy
- Ensure solid communication between patient and doctor
- Monitor vitals during surgery
- Assisting with necessary tasks during procedures
- Accurately complete all reports
- Explain post-operative care to patients
- Sterilization of surgical equipment
- Maintain patient confidence by keeping information confidential per HIPAA regulations
- Strict adherence to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and OSHA regulations/procedures
- Exhibit ownership of inventory, dental equipment, and other resources
- Other duties as assigned
