Our Intake Specialist is the main point of contact for our physicians, patients and partners and is responsible for receiving, qualifying and performing all tasks related to the order intake process and coordination of patient care.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Read, understand, and apply policies and guidelines.
• Work faxes in a timely manner to verify that documents meet Medicare guidelines.
• Use Brightree ERM on a continuous basis to maintain patient records.
• Answer and respond to incoming phones calls in an exceptional quality manner.
• Verify and run insurance eligibility.
• Effectively communicate any order necessities required with the Patient Care (Sales) Representative.
• Enter and edit patient records, including notes on the status of the order.
• Obtain information from a variety of sources, including patients and caregivers.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, caregivers, internal and external referral sources.
• Use tact and empathy in working with patients and families under stressful situations.
• Perform multiple tasks with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
EXPERIENCE:
• Medical field experience preferred nut not required
• High school diploma or GED.
• Candidates must be able to successfully pass background and drug screen.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.
