PAINTER

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both residential and commercial painting, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and craftsmanship. This role requires attention to detail.

Duties

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
• Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, including power tools and fixtures.
• Follow schematics and design plans to ensure accurate application of colors and finishes.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on fixture installations and building projects.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
• Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed to maintain the quality of finished surfaces.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial and residential painting is preferred.
• Strong understanding of color theory and its application in various settings.
• Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation is essential.
• Basic math skills for measuring areas and calculating paint quantities are required.
• Experience reading schematics or blueprints is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team is important for success in this role.
