Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager at Valley Perinatal Services will serve as a partner to our healthcare teams, aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals to foster a high-performing and engaged workforce. This role involves providing expert HR guidance, supporting employee relations, talent management, and implementing HR best practices to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support these goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations on HR matters to influence decision-making and drive organizational effectiveness.
- Employee Relations:
- Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Address employee concerns, conduct investigations, and resolve conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
- Talent Management:
- Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, develop job descriptions, and support the recruitment process.
- Implement talent development initiatives, including performance management, career development, and succession planning.
- Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies and procedures to reflect current laws and best practices.
- Training and Development:
- Assess training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on various HR topics, such as performance management, leadership development, and employee engagement.
- Performance Management:
- Guide managers through the performance review process, providing tools and resources to deliver constructive feedback and set development goals.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of performance management programs and recommend improvements.
- HR Metrics and Reporting:
- Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Prepare and present reports on HR activities, such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and training effectiveness.
- Change Management:
- Support organizational change initiatives by developing communication plans, facilitating training, and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a HR manager role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and talent management strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a healthcare or related industry.
- Knowledge of healthcare-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
