What are the responsibilities and job description for the Journeyman Plumber position at Valley Plumbing?
Salary: Commission
We are seeking an experienced plumber for a full-time position. Our company is based out of West Jordan, but we service all of Salt Lake, Davis, and Utah counties, including Park City and Tooele. We need someone experienced with basic plumbing diagnosing and troubleshooting skills and plumbing fixture installations, repairs, re-routes, etc. Applicant must submit a resume. Only individuals who meet the requirements below and have experience in plumbing service and repair will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain water supply systems
- Locate and repair issues with water supply lines (e.g. leaks)
- Repair or replace broken drainage lines, clogged drains, faucets, etc.
- Install waste disposal and sanitary systems with well-functioning DWV systems
- All aspects of plumbing services
Requirements
- Proven experience as a plumber
- Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly with a great deal of patience
- Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
- A diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship preferred
- Valid drivers license
