What are the responsibilities and job description for the Recreation Assistant PT position at Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center?
Valley Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a part-time (25 hours per week 2:30pm-8:30pm) Activity Assistant , to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen career. Activity Assistant will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents!
Responsibilities of Activity Assistant:
- Conducts and/or assists with assignments and assigned activity groups
- One-to-one activities utilizing interpersonal needs to meet resident/client needs
- Provides input and assistance with activity planning
- Escort residents to and from activities
- Projects a positive image of the organization in dealing with residents/clients, co-workers, public
Qualifications of Activity Assistant:
- Experience is preferred
- High School Graduate or GED
