JOB DESCRIPTION
Role
The RMA (Return Material Authorization) Coordinator is responsible for managing the return and repair process of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), Cable Harnesses, and Electro-Mechanical Assemblies for our contract manufacturing operations. This role ensures efficient processing of customer returns, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve customer experience.
Responsibilities
- RMA Processing: Receive, evaluate, and process return material authorization (RMA) requests from customers.
- Customer Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding RMAs, providing updates and resolutions in a timely manner.
- Quoting: Prepare budgetary and final quotes for services and repairs performed on RMA’s, coordinating PO approval with the customer.
- Data Management: Maintain detailed records of returned products, repair activities, and final resolutions in the company’s ERP/MRP system.
- Inventory Control: Ensure returned products are properly logged, stored, and dispositioned, preventing discrepancies in inventory.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with finance, program managers, production, quality, and purchasing teams to expedite repairs, replacements, and credit processing as needed.
- Reporting & Documentation: Generate RMA reports, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements to minimize returns and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in the RMA process and suggest improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required; an associate or bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in RMA processing, customer service, or operations within a manufacturing or electronics environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with PCBAs, electronic components, and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- ERP/MRP Systems: Experience with Syteline or other ERP/MRP systems for tracking and managing returns
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze return trends, identify root causes, and work on process improvements.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective customer interaction and internal collaboration.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot return issues and provide efficient resolutions.
- Attention to Detail: Highly organized with strong documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
