JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
· Be involved with the entire NPI process including concept feasibility, DFT, test h/w design, develop assembly test procedures, test methodology definition, and coordination/support of outside test services.
· Be the initial technical contact / liaison to work with new customers or new critical projects to define
Activities
- Develops and writes test procedures, specifies test equipment, and designs test fixtures and setups for simple PCB and complex systems.
- Supports debugging of products by technicians, provide training for new products and/or procedures. Performs failure analyses to correct product testing deficiencies or determine root cause of failures of returned items (RMA). Interface with customers on test correlation and test coverage issues and QA Inspector to schedule RMA repairs.
- Identify areas needing improvement and work to implement new tools/procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- May prepare spreadsheets, graphs, and reports to document and analyze test results, and SPC analysis of new test fixtures/techniques to validate or establish monitors of critical test processes.
- Provide technical direction and training to others in the test area. Other activities as conditions require.
Qualifications
- Academic: BSEE required. Qualifying industry and job experience acceptable. Very good understanding of analog and digital electronics and microcomputer-based systems.
- Experience: New College Grad (NCG) to 5 years experience
- Knowledge:
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable with schematics, some hands-on circuit building/debug, and use of general purpose test equipment and computers.
- Experience with some programming/scripting language(s) to develop test programs and/or analysis tools.
- Experience with National Instruments hardware and LabVIEW programming preferred.
- Basic understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis techniques.
- Professional, dependable, high energy level and self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Salary : $80,000 - $125,000
