As a Behavioral Health Milieu Manager you will:
- Be responsible for the overall management of the unit milieu to include performing the duties of staffing coordination, which includes collaborating with the Behavioral Health Program Director, Nursing House Supervisor and Unit Charge Nurse to staff all shifts and approve requests for time-off from Behavioral Health Associates and Technicians.
- Participate in Quality and Risk Management functions such as reporting data as required to state agencies and hospital committees, conducting audits, conducting compliance rounds, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of care.
- Serve as the Trainer for CPI or other de-escalation program adopted by the unit or hospital.
- Conduct environment of care rounds on assigned shifts and supervise others in rounds.
- Provide guidance and direction to Behavioral Health Technicians and Associates on therapeutic interaction and communication with patients.
- Serves in a direct care role covering for Behavioral Health Associates and Technicians during breaks, lunches and when additional staff is needed.
- Report staffing variances and time-off requests to the Behavioral Health Program Director.
- Provide unit leadership when Program Director is away.
Qualifications
As a Behavioral Health Milieu Manager you will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 5 years in behavioral health field. Master’s Degree preferred.
- CPI Trainer and CPR Certification or ability to attain within a reasonable time as defined by the Behavioral Health Program Director.
- Minimum 5 years in behavioral health.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- CPI and verbal de-escalation techniques.
Salary range: $20 - $30 per hour. We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this hourly rate, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this hourly rate.
