What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Clerk position at Valley Staffing, Inc.?
Valley Staffing is seeking candidates for a shipping/warehouse assistant position located in Jordan. In this position, candidates will be assisting the shipping lead in all activities. This is a long term position.
Duties:
- Packaging, and palletizing inventory
- Loading, and unloading trucks
- Strong understanding and ability to process all shipping and warehouse functions of ERP system
- Forklift Driving
- Perform cycle counts
- Creating bills of lading
- General Knowledge of shipper, customer, and carrier requirements in relation to arranging transport, packaging, and meeting customer requirements and specifications
- Maintain shipping supplies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in reading, writing, oral communications in English, and basic math skills
- At least 2 years of shipping, warehousing inventory, and ERP system experience
- At least 1 year of forklift driving experience and/or certification
- Experience in preparing packages, labeling, and palletizing
- Experience with calipers and tape measures
- Experience working with UPS, Fed Ex, and trucking companies
- 1 year of experience with Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Must be able to lift 40lbs frequently
- Experience with inventory control/management, and experience creating outside service purchase orders is preferred, but not required
Shift:
- 7 AM to 3:30 PM
- Monday through Friday
Pay:
- $20/hr to $22/hr
