What you bring to SBHG:
- Master's degree in family/child counseling, development or psychology, social services or professional counseling or related social science field.
- Four (4) years direct service experience with the mentally ill, children, adolescents and/or adults, depending on setting.
- T BBS licensed MFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD or PhD
- 2 years-post licensure experience with ability to provide Clinical Supervision to registered interns/associates and/or practicum students in Behavioral Services or Psychology related fields, preferred
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Meets agency driver eligibility criteria
- BLS CPR/First Aid
- Two (2) years supervisory experience in a health care setting, preferred.
- Applicants must have attained the age of 18 years of age
How you will make a difference:
The Crisis Mobile Response Team is a community-based unit dedicated to assisting individuals in mental health-related emergencies. Their services encompass Mental Health Assessments, Relapse Prevention, Intensive follow-up services, and On-site Crisis Intervention. This mobile crisis intervention is designed to deliver de-escalation and support to individuals facing behavioral health or substance use-related crises, irrespective of their location – be it at home, work, school, or within the community. The service is carried out by a skilled multidisciplinary team of behavioral health professionals, ensuring rapid response, individual assessment, and community-based stabilization for those undergoing a behavioral health crisis. The overarching objective is to provide relief to beneficiaries in crisis, utilizing de-escalation and stabilization techniques to minimize immediate risks and prevent subsequent harm, ultimately avoiding unnecessary emergency department care, psychiatric inpatient hospitalizations, and law enforcement involvement.
Division/Program Overview:
The Valley Star Crisis Mobile Response Team is available from 6 pm to 8 am, providing swift mental health assessment and crisis intervention services. This resource is accessible to individuals of all age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, who require immediate access to crisis mental health services. The program delivers essential services to those seeking urgent crisis intervention and stabilization support.
