Crane Operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator with experience in the metal recycling industry (Sennebogen 825/835) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and heavy equipment to facilitate the movement of materials within our warehouse and production areas. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials.
• Perform heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to maintain safety.
• Assist in shipping and receiving operations, including loading and unloading trucks.
• Collaborate with supervisors to ensure smooth operations and adherence to schedules.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
• Operate order pickers, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly cranes.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including shipping and receiving processes.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift.
• Knowledge of operating order pickers, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety standards.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
