Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment and facilities through regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and the ability to work with various tools and technologies.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Test, repair, and replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment or systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as voltmeters and ohmmeters, to diagnose issues.
- Fabricate and machine components to repair jigs, fixtures, and parts for projects, equipment repair, maintenance work orders, and machine modifications.
- Calibrate equipment as necessary to maintain accuracy and reliability.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Work with high voltage systems safely and effectively.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other technicians and departments to resolve complex issues involving logic controllers and other automated systems.
- Document all maintenance activities in compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician or in a similar maintenance role.
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in PLCs, Computers & Information Technology, Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Motion/Motor Control, Welding, and Machining.
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices and safety protocols.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical degree, diploma, or certification of completion for studies of electricity preferred.
- Familiarity with high voltage systems and the ability to work safely around them.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and calibration tools.
- Experience with logic controllers is a plus.
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
