Job Overview
As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing essential care and support to individuals in need within their homes. This position requires compassion, empathy, and a dedication to improving the quality of life for those under your care.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Provide medication reminders and assistance with medication administration
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transfers
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Document and maintain accurate medical records for each client
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of clients
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients
Skills
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping
- Experience in home health care or related field is preferred
- Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols
- Familiarity with long-term care practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care plans accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
