Job Description

Job Classification: Non Exempt, Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday or Sunday-Thursday, usually 8-5, occasionally start and end times may vary
Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Primary Accountabilities:

The Warehouse Worker is to fulfill the various warehouse duties as outlined by the supervisor. The various functions are to be completed efficiently and with accuracy, with the focus on the safety of the fellow and customer satisfaction. It is important that this person work cooperatively with co-workers, and be willing to fulfill various job functions.

Major Duties:

• Complete all functions necessary including but not limiting to picking, packing, quality control, and manifesting to give the customer a great experience
• Receive goods to process into inventory bins and record into computer
• Records on the bill of lading(s) any damage, shortage when unloading LTL(trucks)
• Complete the loading/shipping function to prepare the orders for commercial shipment
• Some cleaning, custodial work, and snow removal will need to be done when necessary

Required Qualification:

• Pre-employment drug testing
• Must be punctual and able to follow a work schedule
• Attention to detail
• Loyalty and commitment to company and fellow employees

Physical Demands:

• Required to lift boxes up to fifty pounds regularly. The majority will be less weight. Most lifting is from one shelf or table surface to another, as opposed to primary lifting from the floor. On occasion a box could weigh up to seventy (70) pounds, as is allowed by UPS shipping guidelines.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling and climbing throughout the work shift
• Must be able to use sharp box knife

Work Environment:

• The worker will be in a Warehouse environment
• The worker will be working in and around narrow isles with racking reaching heights of 20 feet or more
• The worker will be working along powered conveyors and other roller systems
• The worker will be working with and around other employees, office personnel, vendors and tours
