What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant/ Veterinary Receptionist position at Valley Veterinary Clinic?
Valley Veterinary Clinic is out to try and change the game when it comes to entry-level work in a veterinary clinic. With how demanding and multi-faceted the jobs of veterinary assistants and technicians have become, we are evolving our approach to how we introduce people to the veterinary field and we want you to be a part of that.
We are looking for high drive, motivated individuals looking to get their foot in the door in veterinary medicine. The position will be a dual purpose position of days working in kennels with our back staff as well as days working the phones and computers with our reception staff. Both jobs offer unique challenges and opportunities. Our goal is to produce well-rounded employees who are are as adept at patient care and following doctor instructions as they are at communicating with our clients and dealing with our software system.
The ambition of this cross-training position is to develop staff that we can easily and confidently promote into veterinary assisting, where animal care and restraint are as needed as the ability to enter charges, cash out clients, and explain medications.
This is a position designed to work into promotions so if you are not interested in a progressive career in veterinary medicine, please apply elsewhere.
