Summer School Drivers Education Coordinator (Control Code: 93992)

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a Summer School Driver Education Coordinator position for the 2025 summer school term.

JOB SUMMARY: The Summer School Driver Education Coordinator will coordinate the summer driver education program in both Programs A and B. The coordinator’s duties include the hiring of teachers, driver training car set-up, scheduling of BTW, simulation and classroom instruction; coordination of applications for permit; entering data for the IWAS; and ensuring all information required for grade reporting and the Illinois Secretary of State information is collected and entered.

DATES:

June 2, 2025- June 27, 2025- *No classes on June 19, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must hold appropriate State of Illinois Teaching Licensure with Driver Education Endorsement
• Successful high school teaching experience preferred
• Applicants must possess effective management skills
• Applicants must be available for the full summer term (i.e., under no other contractual obligation during this time period)

WORKING CONDITIONS: The Coordinator will be paid a salary of $3,500. Stipend amount will be adjusted if the chosen candidate also teaches in the driver education program.
