What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Cardiac Rehab Specialist position at Valley View Hospital Association?
Monitors, educates and counsels patients/participants enrolled in lifestyle modification programs such as cardiopulmonary rehab and other primary/secondary prevention programs. This is a PRN position.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in health-related field (e.g., exercise science, nursing) required
- Master’s Degree preferred
- Certification related to field (e.g., ACSM, ACE, AACUPR)
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date required
- ACLS certification through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date preferred

Skills:
- Demonstrated ability in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and lifestyle modification skills
- Demonstrated ability in interpersonal communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Demonstrated ability in computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience minimum
- Diabetes Care/Prevention experience preferred.
SALARY RANGE
- $25.83-$37.98/hour 14% PRN Differential Pay
- Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill set
- Annual Bonuses to eligible PRN employees based upon organizational and individual performance.
