The AC unit is a 33-bed unit providing multiple levels of care to acute and chronically ill patients with a variety of medical/surgical diagnosis.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Performs clerical and receptionist duties by assisting Department Manager in coordinating and managing unit. Functions as a communication link from Nursing Department to other departments of the hospital.
- Assists in maintaining an efficient physical environment in the department.
- Assists patients, visitors, staff, and physicians in the department as needed.
- Assists licensed nursing personnel in providing patient care in accordance with established methods and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school or equivalent
- Completion of Nursing Assistant Training Program and received Colorado CNA license or Certified as a Medical Assistant or hold an EMT license.
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Skills:
- Basic typing and computer skills
- Communication skills
Experience:
- One year Unit Secretary experience preferred, or experience in medical field.

SALARY RANGE
- $20.41 - $30.02/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
