Summary
We are seeking a self-driven and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our Valley View Mall team. Do you enjoy working with tools and helping to resolve customer’s maintenance issues? If so, this position is a great opportunity for you!
The Maintenance Technician has the overall responsibility to help ensure a positive shopping experience for the community by maintaining the property appearance, climate control including chiller operation, light repair throughout the building, and working with contractors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working alongside the General Manager in evaluating and resolving all property maintenance issues
- Serve as the main point of contact for contractors performing repair on the property
- Become the primary operator of the property’s chiller system, ensuring property cooling during the summer months
- Lead and perform the landscaping (including mowing) in all outdoor areas during the growing season
- Evaluate and recommend repair of commercial rooftop HVAC units to maintain heating during the winter months
- Regularly inspect roofing systems and recommend any repair required
- Perform light repair throughout the property including (but not limited to) commercial lightbulb replacement, door repair, painting, tile replacement.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Wide skill set, including knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, landscaping and electrical systems
- Familiarization of commercial heating and cooling is helpful
- Ability to work alone, produce daily results and resolve issues within a very short timeframe
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a streamlined team
