Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or outpatient setting. Responsibilities
- Assist physical and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Support patients during rehabilitation exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment.
- Document patient progress and report any changes to the rehabilitation team.
- Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns from patients and their families.
- Prepare treatment areas by setting up necessary equipment for therapy sessions.
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of anatomy is preferred to assist with patient care effectively.
- Experience in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
- Familiarity with orthopedic conditions and acute care practices is a plus.
