Rehabilitation Aide

Job Summary
The Rehabilitation Aide plays a crucial role in supporting the rehabilitation team in delivering high-quality patient care within a hospital or outpatient setting. This position involves assisting patients with their rehabilitation exercises and activities, ensuring a safe and encouraging environment for recovery. The ideal candidate will have a foundational knowledge of anatomy and experience in patient service, particularly in acute care or orthopedics.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical and occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Support patients during rehabilitation exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of therapy areas and equipment.
• Document patient progress and report any changes to the rehabilitation team.
• Provide exceptional patient service, addressing any questions or concerns from patients and their families.
• Prepare treatment areas by setting up necessary equipment for therapy sessions.
• Assist with patient mobility and transfers as needed, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and improvements.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy is preferred to assist with patient care effectively.
• Experience in an inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation setting is advantageous.
• Familiarity with orthopedic conditions and acute care practices is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team focused on patient recovery.
• Commitment to providing compassionate care and support to patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Pay: $19.00 per hour
