What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Imaging Department position at Valley View?
Valley View Hospital is seeking a qualified Director to lead our busy and growing Imaging Department. This critical position is responsible for providing an exceptional imaging service experience to each patient, each provider--and to our community. People don't seek imaging because they want to; they seek imaging because they are often in pain, or they are facing the scariest time of their lives and they need us. Valley View Imaging is seeking a leader who understands this and will continue to guide and direct our imaging team accordingly.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current ARRT Certification preferred
- Strong customer service experience in hospitality or other service industry will give candidates a significant advantage
- Experience as a radiology technologist with progressive leadership experience in radiology setting preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skills: coaching, counseling, vision or mission development, delegation, decision making, collaboration, direction, coordination, change management
- Demonstrated management skills: budget, financial and statistical analysis, business formation, performance review, capital equipment acquisition and management
- Demonstrated interpersonal (verbal and written communication) skills: diplomacy, mediation, goal setting, group process, confrontation, negotiation, listening, liaison, conflict resolution
- Current patient care theories and practice required
- CQI/TQM strongly preferred
- General computer use (E-Mail, word processing) desired
- Knowledge of hospital computer system desired. The hospital is in the process of transitioning to EPIC EMR.
