What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient position at Valley View?
We have an opening for a PRN Pharmacy Technician-Inpatient in our inpatient pharmacy.
As the Pharmacy Tech you procure and distribute medication orders per physician request, pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols.
SCHEDULE
- PRN - As needed to backfill employee time-off, vacations, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy Tech Certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA) required.
- Will consider candidates with provisional certification from the State Board of Pharmacy (DORA).
Experience:
- 2-3 years pharmacy technician, inpatient or outpatient experience preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Ability to work cooperatively with hospital and pharmacy staff.
- Ability to respond quickly to emergency requests.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
- Ability to set priorities and solve problems.
- Ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing).

SALARY RANGE
- Base Salary 14% PRN differential pay.
- Evening, Night and Weekend Differentials Available.
