What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse -RN Navigator IMAGING position at Valley View?
Looking for RN Navigator in our Imaging Department, to assist with Nursing duties and to assist patients with navigating next steps to improve the patient experience.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Provides individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to overcome barriers within the healthcare system and facilitate access to all of the resources available to patients.
- Acts as a link between patients and care providers to facilitate clinical and supportive care services. Functions as a single point of contact among referring physicians, patients, and other clinical caregivers for the purpose of empowering patients in dealing with the disease and the treatment.
- Facilitates patient appointments for diagnostic procedures in the laboratory, imaging, and other specialty areas.
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Colorado State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) or ability to obtain.
- RN-BSN
- Minimum of at least 1 year of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date.
