What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN OR Charge Nurse- Valley View Surgery Center Basalt PRN position at Valley View?
Duties include:
- Coordinates patient care and workflow, by maintaining an overall perspective of the flow, acuity, and needs of the department.
- Demonstrates effective communication, problem solving skills, with the ability to arrive at creative solutions to issues presented.
- Makes unit assignments and assures that staff workload is appropriate.
- Monitors unit activities to assure compliance with policies and procedures, nursing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as clinical resource to staff and assists with clerical duties as needed.
- Provides direct patient care
- Serves as interdepartmental liaison
- Assists with staffing and cost-effective resource management
- Oversees provision of patient rounding per unit/department protocols.
- Duties of RN Surgery Center, providing direct patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date.
- ACLS through the American Heart Association.
- PALS through the American Heart Association.
- 2 years intraoperative RN experience with routine surgical skills in circulating is required; scrub experience is a plus.
- Surgery Center experience preferred.
SALARY RANGE
- $46.75 to $70.13/hour (BSN) 14% PRN Differential Pay
- $44.95 to $67.42/hour (ADN) 14% PRN Differential Pay
- Starting wage dependent upon experience, education, and skill set
- Valley View recognizes a 4% pay difference for RN-ADN, BSN, MSN
