Summary of Position:
The Receptionist job is to be the first point of contact for a Valley Vistas patients and employees, creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be organized, as well as be able to multitask and prioritize.
Duties and Responsibilities
Answers all incoming calls and delivers messages. Transfers calls as appropriate
Provides information to patients, visitors, and personnel upon request.
Ensure all visitors have checked in and signed the confidentiality log and agreement.
Creates and manages all employee mailboxes. Obtains, sorts, and distributes incoming and outgoing mail for staff and patients
Checks the fax machine for important faxes and distributes accordingly
Enters data into, updates, and maintains marketing database as
Attends and monitors meals with patients at the appropriate times.
Creates forms needed for department directors.
Scans patient Medical Records into EMR.
Qualifications Required to Perform Essential Job Functions:
Highschool Diploma required; Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Ability
Timeliness and completeness of required documentation.
Follows organizations attendance and punctuality policies.
Can work as a member of a team.
Demonstrates knowledge of proper boundaries with patients
Strong time management
