Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
About Us:
Valley West Health Care Center is a long-term care and post-acute care facility located in Eugene, Oregon. Our facility is known for its extraordinary customer service, high-quality nursing and therapy services, and high employee morale and retention.
We are currently looking for a PRN and full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our team. As a COTA, you will be part of a network of nearly 200 facilities in 26 states, providing direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT).
Responsibilities:
The COTA provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral. This includes:
- Implementing and interpreting occupational treatment plans
- Charting appropriately and timely
- Utilizing therapy software accurately
- Exhibiting excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assisting in the evacuation of patients
- Maintaining professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
- Maintaining confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
Requirements:
To be successful as a COTA at Valley West Health Care Center, you must have:
- NBCOT certification upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT)
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State, with an active license in good standing throughout employment
- One (1) year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation
