Behavioral Health Provider
Valley-Wide is an approved site for the Colorado Health Service Corps and National Health Service Corps loan repayment programs, offering eligible providers up to $90,000 for delivering care in our rural communities.

We are a non-profit, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to serving diverse populations across a multi-county area in southern Colorado. With 34 strategically located service sites, we provide trusted primary and preventive care throughout the region.
Position Overview
In this role, you will work in an outpatient behavioral health care setting providing counseling/therapy. The position will focus on care across the lifespan and maintain VWHS's mission as an FQHC. BHPs will work collaboratively with the patient/client in order to develop and implement treatment plans and interventions; utilizing evidence-based models for assessment, treatment and discharge. Foster a culture of patient and family centered care, service, quality and safety excellence, while improving patient experience, employee experience and community relations.
Job Responsibilities
- Clinical Care: Perform assessments, identify problems, justify medical necessity (using DSM-5 criteria), and deliver evidence-based treatments, crisis intervention, and individual/family/group therapy.
- Collaboration: Work within the Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH) model to develop and implement treatment plans through consultation, brief assessments, and psychoeducation.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in our EMR system (NextGen), including intake documentation and treatment plans.
- Compliance: Uphold HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Education
- Educational Background:
- A Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or clinical social is required
- Licensure:
- Candidates may hold a current license with the Colorado State Board as any of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) (preferred)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Candidates may hold a current license with the Colorado State Board as any of the following:
- Additional Requirements:
- Bilingual skills in English/Spanish are desirable but not required.
- Must successfully complete drug testing and background screening.
