What are the responsibilities and job description for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) position at Valley Women's Health?
We are looking for a full-time Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Candidates should be passionate about mental health treatment and prior psych specific experience is preferred.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic mental health conditions
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as needed
• Prescribe necessary medications
• Perform comprehensive physical exams of patients
Qualifications:
• Master's degree as a PMHNP or certified psychiatric PA-C
• Hold valid state licensure
• Previous mental health experience, not required
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Utah APRN License
• DEA Certification
