What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Scribe/Patient Tech position at Valley Wound Care Specialists?
We're looking to hire full-time Patient Technicians to work in our busy Wound Management physician office. We have (2) offices- one in Glendale and another in Sun City. Our staff may be asked to work from either of the two locations during the week. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience if your future education goals are in the Medical Field: Pre-Med, Medical School, Physician Assistant, Nursing, Podiatry, or other healthcare related field. Our techs provide hands-on patient care and participate in group MA training. Our techs may also be present in exam rooms with the Providers scribing the patient's history, physical exam, documenting wound care orders, and in-office procedures.
Medical Terminology course completion, quick accurate typing, and the ability to be flexible are musts. The role is fast paced so attention to detail is important. The ideal candidate will be available to start ASAP and has prior scribing experience and hands on patient care experience. Our office treats patients Monday- Friday from 7:00am - 5:00pm. The job's permanent schedule would be (4) 10-hour working shifts each week with the same day off each week (exact day off-TBD). Training would be Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm for 2 weeks.
