Job Description

Pool & Landscape construction company looking for a long-term Construction Forman and laborers. Valley Yard Works Inc. focuses mostly on Pool & Landscape Construction and installation throughout the Napa Valley. Currently looking for a full-time team member to grow with the company.

Must have knowledge in demolition, irrigation, hand tool and small equipment knowledge, concrete and grade preparation, paver installation, etc. Candidate must be a self-starter as well as the ability to work as a team. Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and able to lift up to 80lbs. Company power tools will be provided.

Duties Include :

Framing and building; decking, fences, concrete structures etc...
Rebar and forming
Use of skid steer, mini excavator, and multiple pieces of walk behind equipment
Base leveling, use of grade lasers, understanding of slopes and elevations.
Measuring and planning
Small mason projects; stone veneers, tiling, natural stone caps, etc...
Low voltage lighting system installations
instillation on irrigation systems; drip and sprinkler including zoning
Excavating and filling trenches and ditches
Maintaining clean job site : picking up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards
Handling and storing materials
Loading and unloading trucks
Following direction and executing project properly and efficiently.
Understanding of materials being used and how to create materials lists.
Ensuring that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed; Addressing issues that may arise
Light maintenance of equipment
Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
Motivation to succeed, excel and seek growth.

Minimum Qualifications :

A valid and appropriate state driver's license

Experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform the work

Willingness and ability to perform manual work following verbal and written instructions

Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction work.

Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule

Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform physical labor under adverse field conditions.

Ability to communicate in English and Spanish

Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely

Ability to follow written and oral instructions

Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency

Provided : Company power tools, phone reimbursement, paid vacation time, annual work boots, rain and safety gear, paid holidays. Hours 7am - 3 : 30pm Monday - Friday. Occasional option for Saturday work. Eligible after 90 days.
