- Dining Hall Preparation & Cleanup - Set up tables, chairs, utensils, and serving stations before meals and clean/sanitize tables, floors, and dining areas after meals.
- Dishwashing & Kitchen Support - Wash dishes, utensils, and cookware during and after meal times, ensuring health and safety standards are met.
- Food Service Assistance - Support the kitchen team by assisting with food distribution, replenishing serving stations, and ensuring meal service runs smoothly.
- Waste Management & Sanitation - Manage trash and recycling in the dining hall, follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures, and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Maintain Efficiency - Ensure dishwashing and dining hall cleanup tasks are completed promptly to keep meal service on schedule.
- Assist with Inventory - Help track dining hall supplies such as utensils, plates, and cleaning materials to ensure sufficient stock.
- Camper & Staff Support - Provide a welcoming and friendly environment in the dining hall, assisting campers and staff as needed.
- Adhere to Safety & Health Guidelines - Follow all food safety, sanitation, and camp policies to maintain a safe dining environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and carrying dish racks.
- Previous experience in food service, dishwashing, or camp dining settings is a plus but not required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (up to several hours at a time). X Constantly
- Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements for cleaning and dishwashing. X Constantly
- Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and sometimes noisy kitchen and dining hall environment. X Occasionally
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50 pounds, which may include supplies, equipment, or assisting with setting up activities. X Occasionally
