What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronic Technician position at Vallourec North America?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Set up CNC lathes and mills for new operations
- Ensures operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machining lathes and mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Mechanic skills include, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
- Locates root cause of problems by using sound troubleshooting methods to ensure that permanent repairs can be made to minimize costly downtime
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of machine control components including, but not limited to; motor drives, controllers, sensors, switches, breakers, overloads, power supplies, etc
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair all types of power transmission components including, but not limited to; drives, bearings, gears, belts, chains, sprockets, etc
- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems including, but not limited to: tanks, pumps, valves, piping, cylinders, and controls
- Provide proper record keeping, documentation, and information for, but not limited to Machine files, repair files
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical parts manuals such as electrical and mechanical diagrams, gages, meters, calipers and other measuring tools
- Use all required hand and power tools including, but not limited to: drill, saw, torch, and jacks, as well as ladders, cranes, fork lift, and other maintenance equipment
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing during shift

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in electronics or substantial work toward completion of electrical or electronic degree, preferred
- Must have a minimum 10 years’ experience in industrial electrical/electronic maintenance
- Strong working knowledge of SAP
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications
