POSITION SUMMARY:
Supervise forklift operators at warehouse. Order all parts, couplings and protectors for the plant. Create, review and correct requisitions. Stores and non-stores.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise the warehouse employees, prepare schedule, cycle count, monitor and correct barcode transaction.
- Purchasing: balance receivers, input & review requirement for couplings & protectors, order parts.
- Management: prepare monthly letter, attend safety and staff meeting. Manage hourly employees so that the warehouse is in good order, supplies can be found in their proper location and that the min/max system for reordering is reviewed periodically. Slow moving inventory or inventory that becomes obsolete needs to be identified and dispositioned.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Type 50-60 wpm error free.
- Advanced and thorough knowledge of sap and barcode system.
- Thorough knowledge of SOP's.
- Capable of rebooting barcode scanners and entire barcode satellite system.
- Experience of 3 years minimum working in a large manufacturing operation.
- Training in inventory management.
- Negotiating skills, communication skills, able to set goals for hourly employees to ensure that the warehouse is well organized and that the inventory is correct.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree in general business or related area preferred
- 2 years' experience in accounting and purchasing or other equivalent experience.
