What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Vallourec?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Developing, preparing, and executing on capital improvement ideas and projects from the beginning through completion.
Writing and or approving engineering specifications.
Designs, and spare parts lists.
Developing, recommending, and implementing migration paths for obsolete controls and components.
Performing, planning, scheduling, coordinating, and directing installation of new or existing components on all projects, including project status reports as required.
Responsible for establishment of priorities with Reliability and energy conservation in mind.
Responsible for managing, directing, executing all assigned area capital projects.
Responsible for maintenance area equipment drawings, including drawing changes and updates.
Must work with vendors to assure complete updated drawing management.
Responsible for monthly energy reporting and plants Wonderware SCADA system operation.
Providing high voltage electrical engineering support for the plants distribution systems and equipment.
Seve as the assigned technical expert for projects managed by other Project Managers.
Accountable for the technical support of assigned facility maintenance area and daily problem solving / root cause analysis with the goal of increasing OEE.
Accountable for communicating with maintenance, operation supervisors, and process engineers solving and preventing various issues for the mill.
Applies guidelines, practices and procedures of Reliability Based Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, Quality Contro, and Energy Conservation. #LI-JB1 #LI-Onsite EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE :
Language skills : Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mechanical, electrical, leadership and engineering experience EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS :
BS Engineering Electrical and preferred minimum 5 years in manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment. CRITICAL COMPETENCIES & CAPABILITIES :
