Main activities:
- Manage firewalls (Palo Alto) and its rules
- Moving existing VLANs and security rules to the new Palo Alto FW following the best practices and governance defined by the Global SEC
- Ensure security review of the existing access rules with Local Security Officer
- Support the business by creating new access rules
- Support the network team on related firewall/access issues
- Transfer skills and knowledge to other team members
- Write documentation and network diagrams
Technical Skills:
- Firewalls: Cisco ASA Appliances, Palo Alto
- Network Security: ACL, IPsec, VPN, GRE
- Routing Protocols: BGP
- Network Management: Network Troubleshooting, SSH, ICMP
- Network switch administration: Cisco network switches
Professional Experience:
- IT Network and Security: Configuration, Optimization, Upgrades, Troubleshooting, Security, Routing
- Palo Alto Firewall management, PCNSE is a plus
- Centralized management system (Panorama) for firewalls management process
- Migration from Cisco ASA/ACL to PA Firewalls NG security rules
- Redistribution among BGP routing policies
- DMZ zoning & configuration of VLANs/Routing/NAT with firewalls
