What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Electronic Technician position at Vallourec?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain thorough communication with Electrical Supervisor, peers, and operations
- Oversee Vallourec Electrical / Automation Maintenance personnel and external contractors within the FQM maintenance area
- Exhibit the ability to lead by example on an everyday basis
- Maintain a positive posture in all activities and safety programs
- Work within changing business conditions and technologies and make the necessary adaptations to help the department stay effective
- Demonstrate Strong organizational, planning, interpersonal and communication skills while working collaboratively with others without line authority
- Manage the satellite inventory in the FQM Maintenance area
- Troubleshoot all electrical / mechanical systems when issues arise
- Provide assistance and direction to others when needed
- Participate and lead as required in any maintenance improvement activities (i.e., CIT, MADE, RCA and CAPEX)
- Evaluate new and replacement electronic / electrical hardware
- Redline electrical schematics for updates and corrections to the equipment and the ability to transfer all redlines to AutoCAD
- Prepare down day work and manage the list to completion
- Generate and verify the electrical inspections / PMs and their timely completion
- Oversee the equipment delay corrections and determine the root cause
- Keep electrical delays below department set goals
- Accurately document work history in SAP up to and including entering and closing out work orders and scanning out repair parts from inventory
- Give recommendations for Equipment based upon experience, OSHA, and NEC regulations
- Work with the Maintenance Planner to ensure inventory levels are accurate and up to date
- Demonstrate superior problem-solving and decision-making skills EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE :
- Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial electrical / electronic maintenance
- Language skills : Ability to read and interpret drawings and documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Mathematical Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Reasoning ability : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with difficult problems involving complex and hazardous systems EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS :
- Minimum Associates' degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics required
- Working knowledge of SAP or the ability and desire to learn
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications
