Valmet is the leading global developer and supplier of technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries.
As a hydraulics field service technician, an individual travels to customer sites (mainly in the US) to assist with work on a paper machine. Though the trip is the main focus, prep and post work in an office (or remotely) is required, resulting in approximately 70% travel.
The technician will be learning and working with mechanical components, including fluid and pneumatic components and controls. Some on-site work will be as part of a team, and, once trained, some work will be done individually.
A base electro-mechanical knowledge is preferred, but not required.
