Responsibilities
The Electrical Service Technician at Valmet Tissue Converting will play a key role of working on converting equipment by many tasks such as. Installing converting equipment, programming, and troubleshooting running equipment.
In this role, you’ll work alongside electrical engineers, other electrical technicians, and mechanical technicians on a wide variety of projects. It will be your job to help evaluate, assemble, and maintain various electronic devices and types of electrical equipment. To do this, you will be tasked with troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment, reading electrical blueprints, and using common tools and techniques to resolve issues, and installation of new equipment.
Expectations
Expectations for this position requires ability to travel up to 60% servicing North American customers. Have experience in the converting field and or a minimum of a two-year degree in Automation and or electrical controls schooling.
Ability to read blueprints, understand various PLC platforms, drives, and HMI’s. perform diagnostic assessments and use variety of tools and techniques to ensure that the equipment that they’re working on is functioning optimally.
Good Communication Skills With Customers And Other Colleagues.
