As an R&D Project Manager, you will manage R&D projects from conception to completion.
In this role you will
- Deliver project results within the agreed time frame. Depending on the nature and size of project, it can be set up and run as a waterfall or as an agile project.
- Set up and be responsible for schedule, budget, quality, risk management.
- Regularly report the status of the project to the R&D director.
- Remove obstacles, drive progress, prioritize tasks, and regularly update project schedules and budgets.
- Manage multiple concurrent R&D projects of different sizes and priorities.
- Serve as the scrum master for the R&D organization, plan sprint intervals and hold regular scrum meetings, with team members participating in person and remotely
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that the project results will fit the organization’s needs.
- Closely work with the assigned technical R&D team members and their managers from multiple disciplines.
The Incumbent Must Meet All Of These Requirements
- BS/BA in a technical field, or equivalent
- 5 years relevant job experience
- Completed a project as manager or scrum master with at least $1M total budget.
- Fluent communication in English
- Certified project management training/Project Management Professional (PMP)
- 3 year of experience within an R&D organization
- 1 year experience in a relevant technical field
- 3 years of experience with people management (functional or disciplinary)
- 2 years of experience as a scrum master.
- Presentation skills
- Organizational skills
- The need to lead and get things done
- Experience with software development projects
- Familiarity with project planning and tracking software such as MS Project, and sprint planning and tracking software such as Jira
