The In-House Service Technician role is responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and technical support for the Gas Chromatography Systems Maxum products and solutions business. This role focuses on in-house repairs and support within our Houston, TX facility.

The In-House Service Technician role is responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, and technical support for the Gas Chromatography Systems Maxum products and solutions business. This role focuses on in-house repairs and support within our Houston, TX facility.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-house maintenance and repair of complex process analytical systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers and internal teams.
- Complete technical and non-technical documentation as part of the position. Technical documentation may include updates to technical processes and procedures, updates to drawings and drawing packages as work is performed or modified, or technical reports and process reviews. Non-technical documentation may include concise service reports and internal reports as necessary or required as part of the scope of work.
- Communicate with customers and internal business teams to prepare for assignments, gather necessary parts, drawings, and any additional information necessary to complete the assignment with the highest level of ability and customer service.
- Ensure readiness by completing all necessary safety requirements and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Provide remote support, when necessary, to customer questions, concerns regarding technical topics, troubleshooting, solution guidance, and support.
- Provide colleagues with guidance on topics of interest and participate in knowledge sharing. Work as a team to provide the highest level of support and ensure the team remains unmatched in the industry.
- Continuous development, growth, and improvement to remain current with product offerings.
- Communicate with internal business teams to provide feedback from customers and field issues as they arise.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience with process analytical systems, sample systems (SCS), and/or continuous gas analyzers.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience within the oil & gas or chemical & refining industries.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
- Prior experience developing and maintaining good customer relationships.
- Knowledge of System Integration projects and understanding of industrial drawings.
- Must be independent, self-motivated, and maintain an ownership culture mindset with minimal direct supervision.
- Technical AAS/Bachelor Degree from an accredited school.
- 3 years Industry / Analytical Experience.
- Technical knowledge in process analytical systems and sample systems.
- System Integration knowledge including alarm systems, electrical wiring, troubleshooting experience.
