This is a weekend position starting at $25 / hr.
The Material Handler position is an individual contributor in the Elkhart facility. This person must be a highly driven individual that will operate material handling equipment including machines like cranes, forklift, shag truck, and other material handling equipment. Match incoming parts to paper documents to verify part numbers, size, quantity, and inspect for damage. Operate industrial trucks or tractors equipped to move materials around a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site.
Essential Functions
- Operate material handling equipment including machines like cranes, forklift, shag truck, and other material handling equipment.
- Operate a powered industrial truck (e.g., forklift) in all weather conditions (indoor / outdoor operation).
- Total compliance with all Company personal protective equipment policies.
- Observe and maintain all safety procedures, policies and regulations.
- Load and unload trucks, using a forklift and other material handling mechanisms.
- Transport products and materials within the plant and back and forth from yard to plant.
- Supplying manufacturing work stations from stored raw materials.
- Reporting damaged good and material shortages and verifying inventory levels .
- Perform daily Cycle Counts as needed.
- Other duties as required and / or assigned.
