Production Support Technologist

**Maintenance Mechanic Position at Valmont Industries, Inc.**

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the Maintenance department for 2nd Shift (3pm-11pm).

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
• Troubleshoot and repair production machines in a timely manner.
• Work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Fabricate repair parts using machine/welding shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Assist in the installation of new and used machinery.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma plus two years of applicable trade school training or two years of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be skilled in metal fabrication, SMAW, and GMAW welding processes.
• Must have a high degree of flexibility and be willing to respond as needed to production schedules and equipment outages.
• Must have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial setting.
• Must be able to demonstrate mechanical abilities to perform the above duties.
• Must have good organizational and communications skills.
