At TheThings, we’re looking for a talented editor who is obsessed with Reality TV. Are you someone who consumes every season of Bravo TV shows like Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives or TLC shows like 90 Day Fiance and Sister Wives? As an Editor at TheThings, you will manage trending, original, informative, and eye-catching articles that our audience is craving to read.
You’ll be responsible for editing and publishing content submitted by our freelance writing team, monitoring reality TV sources and social media to generate and pitch original ideas to be written, and providing feedback to the writing team about their content.
You’ll oversee aspects of the Editorial and Writing Teams, making sure images are sized correctly and appropriate to the topic, and SEO guidelines are implemented according to the in-house Writing Guide.

Responsibilities:
- Ability to weekdays and, if need be, weekends to ensure the set amount of articles are published per month.
- Ability to manage a team of writers.
- Proofread and edit spelling, grammar, and syntax;
- Ensure SEO practices are implemented in all articles published;
- Collaborate with the writing team in all aspects of the writing process;
- Pitch article topics.
