Responsibilities
- Responsible for editing, fact-checking, and providing feedback on articles to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to editorial guidelines.
- Monitor the article schedule using tools such as Asana or our in-house CMS to ensure that publication targets are met.
- Review (and assist in crafting) pitches to the Linux section for quality and suitability.
- Contribute to the development of SEO researched ideas, and generate Linux topics for the writer base.
- Review and assess due dates associated with tasks.
- Self-publish to the section (or other sections on the site) to meet the writing quota.
- Expected to be present and engaged in required meetings.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in writing and editing for an online tech publication
- Expert knowledge of everything Linux
- First-hand experience with a Linux distribution (and able to run multiple distributions, as virtual machines at least, for testing)
- Be highly organized with great time management skills
- Posses proficient communication skills with remote teams
