Requirements
- NYC-based and able to attend screenings and interviews multiple times per week
- Proven experience as a writer and movie critic, reviewer, or similar role, with a portfolio of published articles (or equivalent)
- A passion for cinema and a deep love for movies across a wide range of genres
- In-depth knowledge of film history, genres, and industry trends
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Film Studies, Journalism, or a related field
- Active presence on social media platforms with a focus on film-related discussions
- Familiarity with SEO best practices for online content
- Existing relationships with PR for screeners and interview access is a plus
- Experience writing movie and TV related news content
- A computer with a high-quality webcam and microphone for virtual interviews
