Human Resources Coordinator
This administrative position offices in-person, on campus
ROLE SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator supports the school’s talent acquisition efforts across the organization. Through strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to a high standard of professionalism and customer service, this position contributes to the school achieving its goals and continuing to operate with the highest level of excellence.
Because we believe our people are our greatest assets, one of the primary responsibilities for this role will be assisting with the recruiting, hiring and onboarding functions with an exceptional focus on customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are a must. Becoming a solid user of the department’s technology platforms and various recruiting software is also required in order to be successful in this position.

Primary Responsibilities
- Support the talent acquisition process across all departments within the organization by ensuring updated role descriptions, posting requisitions, timely responding to applicant inquiries, ensuring all workflow steps are completed, issuing offer letters and coordinating all new-hire onboarding efforts
- Be responsible for the administrative/back-end configuration, messaging, and analytics in Valor’s applicant tracking system (ATS) software (Jobvite)
- Complete offboarding processes for all exiting employees
- Update and maintain external recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn with fresh content and visually appealing images, and utilize recruiting tools to the benefit of Valor’s talent pool
- Manage and develop content for a bi-weekly HR Newsletter using third party software platform (Emma)
- Write and post faculty and staff bios on the Valor website
Secondary Responsibilities
- Ensure the role description library is accurate, consistent, and updated
- Maintain and update the HR Procedure Guide as needed
- Complete processes related to position/title changes and internal hires
- Provide support and backup to include assisting with background checks, procedure/HR documents, and volunteer, contractor, and assistant coach functions, as needed

RESULTS
The HR Coordinator will serve and support the overall functions of the HR Department, as well as the hiring managers at Valor, with excellence. Candidates and new employees will be treated with a high level of customer service, providing them with a positive first impression of the organization. Employees will continue to have a strong satisfaction level and high degree of trust for the school’s HR department knowing their requests are handled in a timely and confidential fashion.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
- 2-3 years prior Human Resources related-experience, required
- Experience in recruitment and talent acquisition given strong preference

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs.
